Best of Italy with kids

Day 1

Arrival in Venice APT, where your private water taxi will greet you upon arrival and escort you to your hotel, with a first great experience that takes you from the mainland to Venice, the unique town on the water, on board of an elegant and fast water taxi. In the late afternoon, private gondola tour and dinner at a recommended traditional restaurant in the area of Rialto Bridge. Overnight stay in a family suite at a very nice kids-friendly hotel. 

Day 2

Today, after the breakfast, discover Venice with smiles and laughs… We know... Venice is a wonderful city, but sometimes difficult to visit with kids. There is a lot of walking involved, the city can be very crowded and often the children get tired. With that in mind, we decided to offer something special that will entertain and involve them, so everybody in the family can have fun and relax at the same time. After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your private guide for a cultural walking tour of the city. In the afternoon, the group will meet at a local artisan shop for a traditional Venetian Mask Workshop for the whole family. This is a very fun opportunity to learn about the history and the secrets behind the symbols of Venice.  

Day 3

After the breakfast, in the morning, private boat transfer to Venezia S. Lucia Railway Station and high speed train to Florence, the town of Dante, in the magic hills of Tuscany. At the arrival, you will have a private transfer to the hotel from the train station. In the afternoon we offer a guided city bike tour. This is a great way to discover the city of Florence under a very unique prospective. For dinner, we can suggest some good and traditional restaurants featuring local food and wines. You don’t want to miss on the traditional “Fiorentina Steak”! Overnight downtown Florence in a very nice hotel. 

Day 4

Today you will departure from Florence on a classic vintage FIAT 500 car (A guide is included and will always be with you to show you the way). You will drive your own Fiat500 towards the panoramic Piazzale Michelangelo and continue on scenic ride up the hills to the picturesque town of Fiesole. You will then reach the heart of the Tuscan hills where you will eat at one of our favorite and traditional restaurants in the area (lunch included). After lunch the group will visit a local family run winery growing the Chianti grapes. Here you will be able to visit their cellars and their private stash of olive oil. Wine tasting included. Olive oil tasting available and definitely recommended! You will then drive back to Florence arriving no later than 3.30-4 p.m 

Day 5

Today… make traditional homemade Pasta.. and more! After breakfast at the hotel, in the heart of Florence, you will meet an Italian chef will welcome you in her own house to experience an authentic Italian cooking class. This will be a very personal " hands-on" cooking class experience for both parents and children. You will learn some of the tips and tricks that make Italian cuisine so delicious. You will make homemade pasta and some typical Florentine dishes using fresh and seasonal ingredients. Aprons and recipes will be provided (aprox 2 hrs). Your cooking experience will end at the table, where you'll enjoy the food that you are your kids have made together and of course a good bottle of Chianti Classico for mom and dad! In the late afternoon, you will travel to Rome by high speed train, "Freccia Rossa", witch connects Firenze Santa Maria Novella to Roma Termini in one hour an a half. Transfer from Roma Termini to the Hotel. 

Day 6 

After breakfast at the hotel, you will join a guide for a shared tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter Church (about 3 hours)*. (If you think this is too much for children, you can choose to book a private guide separately instead). In the afternoon, get all your energy for a fun and safe guided tour on Segway through the small streets of Rome, away from traffic! You will discover the town of Rome, departing from Piazza del Popolo, visiting Spanish Steps, the Roman ghetto, the Pantheon, the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. Small children will have the opportunity to try one too, but on a different and smaller route. This is a great way to see a lot, entertain your kids, avoid the busy transportation system and miles of walking. Overnight in Rome. 

Day 7

Free day for shopping. Mom is on vacation too!! The last day of the tour is a great time for some family shopping! We will provide a list of the best shops for the whole family. If you wish, we can provide a personal shopper & assistant for mom and/or a baby sitter service for the children! (not included). We know... all the family has to relax and to enjoy! and we are at disposal to realize that!! 

Day 8

After breakfast, according to the flight time-table, transfer to the Rome FCN Airport and... ARRIVEDERCI ITALIA ! 

• Day 1: accommodation, private transportation via water taxi in Venice, Private Gondola ride.   
• Day 2: accommodation, guided tour of the city, visit to the Basilica San Marco, private Venetian Mask Workshop.  
• Day 3: accommodation, private water taxi from the hotel to the RS, high speed train Venice-Florence, private transfer from the train station to the hotel in Florence, guided bike tour of the city. 
• Day 4: accommodation, Fiat 500 full day rental and guided excursion, lunch in Fiesole, Chianti wine tasting. 
• Day 5: accommodation, Italian cooking class with the chef, high speed train Florence - Rome, transfer from Roma RS to the hotel. 
• Day 6: accommodation, Guided tour of the Vatican Museums and Basilica of San Pietro, guided tour of Rome on Segway. 
• Day 7: Private transportation from the hotel to the airport in Rome.
